Beyond the Bar (BTB) is a gallery pop-up series, highlighting bartenders of color.
originating in 2019 with 9 Black bartenders in the Washington D.C. area, BTB has now expanded to a national stage. Beyond the Bar is an opportunity to highlight Black and POC talent in the bar industry. Each session has its own specific focus and theme. All sessions will focus on life and opportunities beyond the bar.
Our mission with BTB is to Showcase examples of how to continue to work in or adjacent to the industry while not being pigeon-held to bartending. Our hopes with this programming is to inspire those in the industry to discover how to connect all of their passions to their passion for hospitality.
